Nanhe Gopal-1( K-1 Grade students) The purpose of this project is to involve our youngest students in learning about their own ties to India, and to encourage creative expression through the use of colors, symbols, drawing, writing and gluing images Required Material:5 sheets of standard (White/colored) size 8.5x11 paper 5 sheet protectors, one binding folder Colored Markers and family photos as needed Glue as needed Cover Page- My Family, My India by student's name (Firstname Lastname) Family Picture (Hand drawn,printed or a real photo) Page 1- Region and map of state of origin Page 2- Languages spoken in that state Page 3- Student's favorite Indian Place of Interest,Food, dress and activity. The purpose of this project is to encourage our second graders to understand their ties with India and to strengthen his or her communication skills through writing, drawing, and organizing information about their own family and India.
